This egg-producing plant located in Florida was a grade on slab with the water table very close to the surface; in fact, there was a swamp was less than 100 yards from the facility.

Even though the plant received daily cleanings it had the constant stench of rotten eggs. The combination of continuous moisture present in the concrete and the daily egg breakage on the floors proved to be more than the cleaning protocol could handle.

Our application of ACON Deep Seal was applied at night to avoid interference with the daily egg production. The morning after the ACON Deep Seal application and cleaning the employees were amazed because it was the first time the employees had ever seen the concrete dry.

The last step was to re-clean the concrete and then apply ACON Lustermax Plus.

Upon completion of the job the rotten egg odors were gone, cleanings were easier, and the concrete floors dried quickly (even in the walk-in coolers).

Monolithic Pours

Monolithic Pours are a great way to create strong, durable structures that will stand the test of time as well as being very low maintenance if constructed correctly.

This project took on the appearance of painted wood and was about 8 years old at the time of this photo. The concrete received an ACON Deep Seal application before the paint was applied.

This application corrected the moisture and PH levels in the concrete providing a perfect enjoinment for the paint. The paint has never blistered or peeled and has been zero maintenance for the owner.

Pool Construction

Pool Construction is a perfect environment for the ACON products to perform as no other product can.

Seal, Protect, and Enhance

In this application, first, the ACON Deep Seal was applied, then the bluestone was cleaned, and then the ACON Lustermax Plus was applied.

As you can see the colors are enhanced by our ACON Luster Max and it has made the patio drop-dead gorgeous. However, the enhancement is not a glossy, artificial-looking finish such as an acrylic resins product would produce.

ACON Luster Max has not only strengthened the patio but has also protected it from accidental spills when entertaining as well as protecting it from the elements, especially freeze / thaw cycles. As a result, it will be much easier to clean and will stay cleaner in-between cleanings.

Shotcrete

ACON Alpha Mix will produce stronger concrete in a Shot Crete application. It not only stops moisture transfer but also protects the rebar as well as controls efflorescence. Installation is easier because it requires less time to install.

Stopping Efflorescence

This photo is an example of severe efflorescence. The problem is both extreme moisture migration in the concrete and the unused Portland / free alkali in the concrete itself.

ACON Deep Seal has been proven very effective is stopping efflorescence. The ACON Deep Seal converts the unused Portland / free alkali and permanently stops moisture migration within the concrete.

Unlike most sealers that sit on the surface, the Deep Seal application deeply penetrates and corrects the origin of the problem instead of just addressing the symptoms.

Stopping Water Vapor Drive

The ACON family of products has been proven very effective in stopping water vapor drive. Water vapor drive is present when concrete is in direct contact with soil with high moisture levels.

In concrete production, the concrete forms a capillary system similar to the human skin. Deep Seal uniquely can deeply penetrate the concrete and fill this capillary system using the unused Portland in the mix. Benefits are concrete that will not transfer moisture and the compressive, tensile, and flexural strengths are increased.

Strengthen Architectural Stone

We received a call with complaints of excessive deterioration of ornamental limestone (precast concrete.) After a rain event, the perimeter of the house was covered with sand from the ornamental limestone.

Our investigation of the precast proved that the product was inferior and very weak. The Precast Institute recommend strength for precast is about 6000 pounds.

A single specimen was divided, and one half was treated with the ACON Deep Seal. The specimens were then sent to a property science lab for testing. Each piece was then cut down to provide three individual pieces to determine an average strength. The average compressive strength was 2910 pounds for the untreated piece. The Deep Seal treated specimen's strength was increased to a little over 5700 pounds.

The Deep Seal application prevented a very costly and intrusive removal and replacement of the failing precast.

Theme Parks

This photo is from a well know theme park in Orlando Florida. Efflorescence had proven to be an undesirable and unacceptable issue in the hand-painted murals on the wall.

ALL previous attempts to remove the efflorescence using other removers and acids had been removing the pigment in the murals as well as the efflorescence.

Our remedy was to first remove the efflorescence with ACON Efflorescence Remover, and then we applied ACON Deep Seal to the wall.

The result is that the park has enjoyed several years of efflorescence-free walls, with no damage to the mural.
